Two more people have been arrested in connection with a robbery at Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals sustained injuries by what is thought to be pepper spray, according to police.
A man, 24, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area on suspicion of theft and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. They both are still being held, authorities confirmed.
These detentions come after an investigation into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the incident, two women were robbed of their luggage after getting out of a car park lift.
A three-year-old girl was one of the injured in the event. A total of five individuals went to hospital for treatment and were later discharged.
Police detained a man in his thirties for suspected theft and assault near the scene. He was subsequently released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.
Authorities were alerted at approximately 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding a number of people hurt by an irritating chemical believed to be pepper spray.
The attack - which police said was a standalone incident and not considered terrorism - resulted in train delays and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
